ALROSA tops De Beers' sales in 2020 for 1st time

MOSCOW, Jan 21 (PRIME) -- Revenue from the sales of natural and cut diamonds of Russian producer ALROSA exceeded those of De Beers in 2020 for the first time, according to the reports of the companies, released on Thursday.

"Judging by this data, we can say that ALROSA was ahead of De Beers by sales of natural and cut diamonds, the key products, for the first time in history,” an ALROSA representative said.

ALROSA reported on Thursday that its revenue fell by 16% to U.S. $2.802 billion. De Beers reported a $2.781 billion revenue.
